Her primary education was focused in the creative arts which made her no stranger to the art of performing. At the age of fifteen, Lady Nina began entertaining hundreds on a national platform as the host of national Youth Talent hour of for the Churches of God in Christs’ international youth Convention. After six years, she became a National Director of Performing Arts with the same organization. People were coming from all over the world for a chance to sit in on her one of a kind workshops and audition for her original stage plays until her retirement in 2014.
In 2013, Nina accepted the role as Program Director for the Minstrels Performing Arts Institute in Flint, Michigan. For five years she would oversee and participate in performance arts education for community youth ending each summer with an exciting production.
From 2013 – 2015, Nina was a curriculum writer and life coach Instructor with the CEO pre-college program at the University of Michigan-Flint. This curriculum included her signature "Dream to Destiny" workshop for young people to lead them onto the path to purpose.
In 2014 Nina started a fast moving career in broadcasting as the host and producer of the Los Angeles based radio show, Life with Nina. It was there she was nicknamed the “Purple Rose” as she was enchanting and love at first sight. In five years, the talk show had reached an international audience of over 8 million listeners monthly. In 2019, Nina walked away from the Life with Nina show with ICBS Radio to build the Purple Rose Planet Radio Network. She now owns and operates the network that highlights the legendary black blues, jazz, and soul artists that inspired her own creative genius. The blujazoul, as she calls it, can be heard 24/7 all around the world.
To increase her writing and facilitation skills, Lady Nina went back to school and received her bachelor’s degree in sociology (Ashford University, 2018) and her master of liberal arts (Johns-Hopkins University, 2020). The focus of her research has been how to build better bridges from primary education into the entertainment industry with more purpose driven personal development curriculum.
Lady Nina is an author of two books, The Edge of Water & Over the Edge. She is also the founder of the Esther Lady Society Int. and she continues to work with people as a life coach. Nina transformed her Dream to Destiny workshop into a masterclass on purpose and Dream Development.
